Question 987

Which days of the week have the most traffic fatalities?

  1. Mondays and Tuesdays.
  2. Saturdays and Sundays.
  3. Thursdays and Fridays.
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: Saturdays and Sundays.

According to the DGT's Manual II, weekends are the most dangerous days: Saturdays and Sundays record the highest numbers of deaths, with the highest on Sunday and the lowest on Tuesday. Return trips from the weekend and leisure outings in the early hours of Saturday contribute to this.
