Question 7448

How long is a novice driver required to display the L plate on their vehicle?

  1. 2 years, until they turn 20.
  2. 2 years.
  3. 1 year.
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: 1 year.

You must display the L plate for one year from the date you obtain your first driver's license. The two-year period applies to a different rule for novice drivers, the lower alcohol limit, and age makes no difference.
