Question 7356

When approaching a railroad crossing, you are required to...

  1. proceed even if the barriers are in motion.
  2. make sure there is no danger before crossing it.
  3. cross it quickly.
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: make sure there is no danger before crossing it.

Before crossing a railroad crossing, you check that the signs and signals allow you to cross, that you will not get stuck on the tracks and, if it has neither barriers nor a traffic light, that no train is approaching. You must not enter while the barriers are moving. Once you have checked, you cross without delay, which is not the same as rushing across.
