Question 6533

What does this sign on the rear of a vehicle indicate?

  1. That it is a special vehicle and is doing work on the road.
  2. That it is a slow vehicle and cannot exceed 40 km/h.
  3. That it is carrying hazardous materials.
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: That it is a slow vehicle and cannot exceed 40 km/h.

This is sign V-5, a red triangle displayed at the rear, as on the tractor in the image. It indicates a slow-moving vehicle that cannot exceed 40 km/h because of its design. A special vehicle working on the road warns of its presence with the yellow V-2 light.
