  1. make a stop to rest.
  2. park your vehicle when it has broken down.
  3. move your vehicle off the roadway in an emergency to keep the way clear.
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: move your vehicle off the roadway in an emergency to keep the way clear.

The sign marks an emergency pull-off area, a space off the roadway where you may pull your vehicle aside in an emergency to keep the way clear for others. In the image, a passenger car has pulled into the tunnel recess. It is not a space for parking or resting.
