Question 5833
What precautions must you take when refueling?
- You must only turn off the engine and the lights.
- Turn off the engine, the lights, the electrical systems, and radiation-emitting devices such as cell phones.
- Turn off the engine and the cell phone only.
Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: Turn off the engine, the lights, the electrical systems, and radiation-emitting devices such as cell phones.
When refueling, the engine must be off and the lights turned off. You must also switch off electrical systems, such as the radio, and turn off devices that emit radiation, such as your cell phone. Turning off just the engine and lights, or just the engine and cell phone, is not enough.
