Question 5797

What does this sign indicate?

  1. The maximum permitted speed due to road work.
  2. That road work begins 100 meters ahead.
  3. The requirement to drive at 100 kilometers per hour.
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: The maximum permitted speed due to road work.

This is a maximum speed sign with a yellow background, the color used for road work. It prohibits you from exceeding 100 km/h on the section with road work, whether or not workers are present. You may drive more slowly, and the number does not indicate how far ahead the road work begins.
