Question 570
What does a grid of yellow markings painted on the road surface indicate?
- That you must not enter the intersection if you might end up stopped in it.
- That you may not cross the intersection.

Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: That you must not enter the intersection if you might end up stopped in it.
The yellow grid reminds you not to enter if you expect to be stopped within it and block cross traffic, even if you have the right-of-way or the traffic light allows you to proceed.
