Question 562
Outside a built-up area, on a road with three lanes in your direction of travel, which vehicles may not use the third lane?
- Trucks and cargo vans with a maximum authorized mass (MMA) over 3,500 kg.
- Vehicles with a maximum authorized mass (MMA) over 3,500 kg.
- Vehicle combinations more than 5 m long.
Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: Trucks and cargo vans with a maximum authorized mass (MMA) over 3,500 kg.
Outside built-up areas, trucks and vans with a maximum authorized mass (MMA) over 3,500 kg may use only the two lanes closest to the right edge. They therefore cannot use the third lane.
