Question 5391

Navigation systems or GPS...

  1. can be a significant source of distraction.
  2. cause few distractions and are very beneficial.
  3. are essential for driving safely.
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: can be a significant source of distraction.

The navigation device helps you find your way, but looking at it, listening to its directions, and especially operating it while driving distract you. You notice fewer signs, react later, and the car drifts off its path. It is not essential for safe driving either. In the image, the driver is touching the screen while driving, which is prohibited.
