Question 5321
Are you allowed to pass on the right on a freeway?
- Yes, if you do not exceed the maximum permitted speed.
- Yes, a vehicle traveling at a reduced speed.
- No.
Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: No.
No. On a freeway, you must pass on the left. A vehicle moving slowly ahead in the left lane does not give you permission to pass it on the right, even if you stay within the speed limit. In heavy traffic, when each lane moves at the pace of the vehicle ahead, moving faster on the right does not count as passing.
