Question 4934
In this situation, after the police vehicle carrying the red flag passes, are you allowed to continue driving your passenger car?
- Yes, on the right side, since the left lane is going to be closed to traffic.
- Yes, exercising extreme caution.
- No, because the roadway is temporarily closed to traffic, except in certain cases.
Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: No, because the roadway is temporarily closed to traffic, except in certain cases.
No. Once the vehicle carrying the red flag passes, the entire roadway is temporarily closed, including the right side. Only vehicles the officers are accompanying or escorting may continue. Stop in a safe place and wait for the vehicle carrying the green flag, which reopens the roadway.
