Distractions can occur when your attention is diverted by something...
- outside the vehicle only.
- inside and outside the vehicle.
- inside the vehicle only.
Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: inside and outside the vehicle.
Something outside the vehicle can distract you, such as a sign, the scenery, or an accident beside the road, as can something inside, such as a cell phone, navigation device, or passenger. In the image, the driver is touching the navigation screen, and outside, on the left, there is a police car with its lights on.
