Question 4493
When drinking alcohol, the driver...
- overestimates their own abilities and disregards danger.
- responds better to any danger.
- takes less time to react to any danger.
Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: overestimates their own abilities and disregards danger.
Alcohol gives drivers a false sense of confidence. They think they are driving well, or even better, overestimate their abilities, and perceive less risk than there actually is, so they take more risks. In reality, they react later and less effectively to any danger.
