Question 4102
Which are the drive wheels?
- The rear wheels.
- They can be the front wheels or the rear wheels, depending on the type of vehicle.
- The front wheels.
Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: They can be the front wheels or the rear wheels, depending on the type of vehicle.
Drive wheels are the wheels that receive power from the engine and move the vehicle. In a front-wheel-drive car, they are the front wheels; in a rear-wheel-drive car, the rear wheels; and with all-wheel drive, all four. So they are not always the front wheels or always the rear wheels.
