Question 3939

The sign requires you to...

  1. reduce speed because of traffic congestion.
  2. keep the required safe following distance.
  3. maintain the required distance of 100 meters from the vehicle ahead.
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: keep the required safe following distance.

This minimum separation sign has no distance in meters on it. It simply reminds you to keep the safe following distance required by the rules from the vehicle ahead. If it showed a distance, such as 100 m, that would be the minimum separation. It does not warn of traffic congestion.
