Question 3899

On a road, which vehicles must maintain a minimum distance of 50 meters?

  1. All trucks.
  2. Vehicle combinations more than 10 meters in length.
  3. Passenger cars.
Show answer and explanation

Correct answer: Vehicle combinations more than 10 meters in length.

Outside built-up areas, on a road with one lane in each direction where passing is allowed, drivers who do not intend to pass must leave room for others to pass them. Vehicles and vehicle combinations over 10 meters long, and those with a maximum authorized mass over 3,500 kg, must leave at least 50 meters. A passenger car, or a 3,000 kg truck under 10 meters long, must leave enough room, with no fixed distance.
