Question 3497
While driving, you see a traffic light showing a steady yellow light. What must you do?
- Stop as if it were a red light, unless I cannot do so safely.
- Proceed with caution.
- Accelerate and proceed.
Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: Stop as if it were a red light, unless I cannot do so safely.
A steady yellow light requires you to stop, just like a red light. You may continue only if, when it comes on, the vehicle is so close that it cannot stop safely.
