Question 2315
What do lane-selection arrows indicate?
- They require you to follow the directions indicated by the arrows and always prohibit lane changes.
- They recommend following the directions indicated by the arrows.
- They require you to follow the direction or directions indicated, but allow lane changes if the signs and markings permit them.
Show answer and explanation
Correct answer: They require you to follow the direction or directions indicated, but allow lane changes if the signs and markings permit them.
The arrows determine the directions you may take from that lane; they are not merely recommendations. They do not prevent you from changing to another lane when the signs and markings allow it.
